Staff / Associate Psychologists

Join our team

We are a team of Chartered Occupational and Educational Psychologists. Our work involves assessing for specific learning difficulties (such as dyslexia and dyspraxia) in higher education institutions and the workplace. Due to strong demand for our services from our clients across the UK, the Educational Guidance Service is currently recruiting more psychologists to join our friendly team.

We have vacancies for staff psychologists (on a full-time or part-time basis) and associate psychologists, with competitive rates of pay. You will be able to work flexibly with our clients either face-to-face or remotely.

You will need to have achieved Chartered Educational or Occupational Psychologist status with the British Psychological Society and be a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. No previous experience of working with specific learning disabilities is required.

If you’re interested in joining us or would like to know more, please send your expression of interest and a copy of your most recent CV to careers@e-q-s.com. We will then schedule an informal conversation to discuss your professional background, experience and why you would like to join us.

If successful, we will then invite you to join our two-day training programme and to shadow our experienced psychologists. We also provide ongoing support in your work with us, as well as regular CPD training to keep your knowledge up to date.

Onboarding for new team members

Our thorough onboarding process is designed to ensure you are equipped with everything you need to hit the ground running with confidence. The onboarding process follows an organised timeline consisting of assessment observations and mock assessments.

We aim to train all new psychologists during the same two-day period. We believe this approach can help you feel part of the EGS team and, by introducing you to other new psychologists from day one, you can establish connections which can help you fulfil your role. Any new team members will therefore need to be available to join our training dates. The 2024 training dates are below:

  • Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th June 2024
  • Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd September 2024
  • Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd December 2024
