What is an Educational Psychologist?
An Educational Psychologist has:
- A degree in psychology
- A teaching qualification
- Teaching experience
- Post-graduate degree in educational psychology
Our psychologists also have:
- Chartered psychologist status with the British Psychological Society and are therefore accountable to the Society through its Code of Conduct
- Broad experience within Local Education Authorities
- Substantial experience in working independently
- Worked intimately with a range of education and care providers to develop effective systems
- Acted as consultants on training, research and development projects across Education, Health and Social Services
- Experience of promoting good practice in a variety of forums
- Given individual and group support to parents, adults and children
- A commitment to equality of opportunity and inclusive practice
